Brighton International Wedding Venue, Acoustic Music.

Another unforgettable wedding,  another day to remember with joy.

Brighton International Wedding Venue, Acoustic Music

I have had the privilege of sharing the special day of hundreds of married couples throughout my musical career.  In Melbourne,  I regularly  perform at corporate events, private parties,  jazz concerts and at my own creative guitar concerts. When I perform at weddings, magic occurs. Either when I play solo or in duo, the careful planning with the bride and groom of the musical to be played , how and when, create the ideal scenario for music to come alive.

At my last wedding ,at the Brighton International Wedding Venue, I was delighted to see how the bridesmaids walked in sync to my compositions towards the ceremonial area. Such beauty in movement enhances the beauty of my playing.

Music is an important part of our lives and weddings can be the foundation stone of such. I believe playing the correct music for a ceremony and or reception, enhances the beauty we deserve on one of the most special days of our lives.

The Brighton International Wedding Venue. (The International of Brighton)  have a delightful garden where the ceremony is held. The interior is also most adequate and spacious. I must also compliment the food and the service. The waiters were extremely into my ethnic playing or interpretation of 70s 80s 90 hits.

Here you may find all the the upcoming dates of my new concerts in Melbourne at the Paris Cat or at the Armadale Uniting Church.

Why You Should Visit Australian Wedding Expos If You Are Planning A Wedding

If you are planning a wedding it would be a good idea to visit Australian wedding expos. If you do, you can get good ideas, talk to vendors and have a better idea of what you want to do on your special day. They are a way to start the process or to get a lot done all in one day.

When you go to the expo you will want to do so with enough time to check everything out. You don’t want to be rushed and have to miss anything because you run out of time. You want to be able to stop by every booth if you are able to so you can see what they have to offer.

If you know your wedding date already it will be easier for you to talk with the vendors. They can see if they are free that day and if they are not you can keep looking. You don’t want to waste your time looking into vendors that can’t work on your special day.

It would be a good idea to go to the Australian wedding expos with a wedding planning binder. That way you can put everything you need into it and write down notes. You might not be able to remember everything once you get back home.

While you are at the expo you will have a chance to look at dresses, photography, DJ services, try cake, try different foods and do a few other things to help you prepare for your wedding. There are a lot of things to look at and think about for your own wedding. Once you get home you will want to go over everything, especially if your future spouse was not able to go with you.

If you can, take your mom or a good friend to help you look at everything at the expo. They can help you decide on thing and it is fun to go there with other people. If you can, also take your future spouse. They probably have a lot of say in the wedding and would want to be apart.

Look in your local paper to find out about the expos. Make plans to go to a few of them to help you with your wedding planning. They are such a great help to get you ready for your wedding.

Wedding Processional Music

Wedding Processional Music

Some things may seem easy than the really are. One of the most common example of this is the choice of the wedding processional music. It is only during the planning of the wedding that most brides come to the realization of this. The first dance song is very simple to choose because it carries with it some meaning and emotions value on   the couples side. The bride and the groom have a lot of questions to answer before you decide which music will play for hat great entrance. Some questions are, will the music have lyrics or not? Will the music be upbeat or subdued>? And finally is it classical or contemporary?

A wedding processional music is that song you will be dancing along with your wedding party during your wedding.  This happens when you will be walking down the aisle. You have two options to make. You may either choose a song for everyone or you may decide to choose on to choose a separate song for our grand music. The processional music should not be more upbeat than your recessional music. Your recessional song will happen when you are leaving the venue.

First of all, make sure that you do self-reflection. Try to see what type of music that you think will be of importance to you. Ask yourself if it is to remind you of that lovely moment or just to remind how your relationship is like.  This is your day and you do not need to rush yourself nobody should influence you to make them happy. Choose the song that is only important to you alone. Know that there is no time you will have all people like the same song. Go ahead and enjoy that favorite song and what will follow is a sweet procession.

Among the traditional choices, the here comes the bride ids the most popularity you go for the classical pieces. It is usually played with the use of an organ. A more modern and upgraded form that is good for you to try is the use of a classical piano. This will preserve the element of tradition while at the same time making sure that the usual drama associated with this type of song.

It has been hard for couples to decide between a classical instrumental and a modern like love song which has vocals accompanying it. If you find yourself fixed in this situation, there is something you can do without losing any one of the two. What about a blend of the two. Have an instrumental cover having one of your favorite vocals.

Do you have any particular film that you just keep remembering no matter how many years back you watched it? What about the soundtrack of that film? Can you imagine that you can walk down the aisle with that particular soundtrack you like? It will be accompanied by that personal touch that you may find yourself almost shedding those tears of joy and appreciate the decision for your marriage. The best thing is that you have hundreds to choose from.

HOW TO CHOOSE WEDDING ENTRANCE MUSIC

HOW TO CHOOSE WEDDING ENTRANCE MUSIC

wedding entrance music

When choosing your wedding songs, you should keep select them in a way they can relate to your love story or life. You should sit down with your spouse and think about the aspects of your relationships that makes it different and unique from the others. Do not choose music to please everyone, choose the music that you and your spouse can relate and you enjoy listening to them. Here are some tips that will help you select the appropriate music for your wedding entrance.
You and your spouse should settle on the kind of wedding ceremony you both want. If you settle for a traditional wedding, you should go for classic songs like “Canon in D.” These instrumental classics have been played for a very long time during wedding ceremonies. It is a current trend for most people to select contemporary music for their occasion. This is the kind of music that will help you set the mood for your wedding.

Everyone will have their ideas and music preferences for wedding entrance music. You should sit down together and come up with a list of music that matter to you. This is the list that will help you choose the kind of music that will be play at your wedding. At some point, you will have to compromise and come to an agreement where both the music you like is included. You will have to come up with a plan that will have all the songs you like and don’t like in a way that will not upset anyone of you. Avoid the songs that anyone of you can relate to in a negative way.

Take great note because there are standards of the kind of music you can play at the ceremony and at the reception. You have the freedom to play around with this – unless your traditions or faith is very strict. You should appreciate that parts of your ceremony or reception will need different kind of music.

Here are some standards you should be aware of:
Prelude music – this is the music that will be playing before the ceremony begins. This is very important because your guests have different emotions and music tastes. You should select music that will soothe them and prepare them for your wedding ceremony.
Processional music – these are the songs played when guests are entering the ceremony place.
Bridal entrance music – this is the music that will be playing during the last moments of the bride to be an unmarried woman. This is a moment of special glory and the kind of music selected should be perfect for the occasion.
You should be very careful when you are choosing the music for your first dance. Most faiths and traditions have a pre-determined song that plays at this session. However, you have the freedom to choose the kind of music you will want to play at your first dance with your spouse. You should think through with your spouse and select a song that can relate to both of you. Settle for that song that just feels right when you listen to it.

Wedding music trends

What Are Some Of The Current Wedding Music Trends?

Are you currently focusing on planning your wedding? Although you might have some details planned out already, there are a few things that you may not be so sure about, such as the music that you will have played by the DJ during the reception. You want to be able to listen to music that you like, but you would likely want to please others who will be at the reception too, such as your parents and your partner’s parents.

Instead of stressing out about which songs should be played and which ones should be avoided, consider checking out some of the latest music trends. The trends may give you a bit of inspiration for what you would like to do for your own wedding.

Many brides are choosing upbeats songs for the reception because they want to encourage their guests to dance and have a good time. While some slow song selections are still popular, especially during the first dance between the married couple and the father/daughter dance or mother/son dance, you should still consider having many fun songs played by your live acoustic wedding band.
wedding music trends
If you are not sure which songs would be fun to listen and dance to, consider adding tracks by Taylor Swift and Katy Perry to your playlist. You may also want to add a few Michael Jackson songs. Even though those songs would be considered a bit old, it is a great way to mix things up and give everyone a chance to enjoy the music that is being played.

The dance-style songs are completely trendy. Want to get everyone, including your grandparents, on the dance floor? If so, consider choosing several fun selections, such as Single Ladies by Beyonce and Moves Like Jagger by Maroon 5. You can add in a few oldies by The Temptations and Diana Ross to mix up the different generations of music too.

Along with the fun music, softer selections are trendy for the first dance that you will have with your partner. You can select any song that you like. For example, the two of you may have a song that reminds you of one another. One of John Legend’s songs, “All of Me”, has become an extremely popular wedding song.

One of the best things you could possibly do when selecting your wedding music is to ask friends to list some of their favorite songs. If you have friends who have different preferences, you will be able to compose this huge list of songs that are sung by so many different musicians. You will end up with such a great variety of music to listen to at your wedding reception.

The most important thing about your reception is having a good time. And, if you want to be able to celebrate excitedly over your nuptials, you are going to want to have the best music played. Consider following some of the trends, but also make sure to choose plenty of songs that you would love to listen to throughout the entire day.

How To Choose Melbourne Wedding Music For Your Wedding

Planning a Melbourne wedding is an exciting time in life, but it can also be extremely stressful. A bride and groom want the perfect day, and anxiety runs high in hopes of achieving that.

One of the factors of a wedding that can be a source of stress is the wedding music. What are some tips for finding the perfect wedding music in Melbourne, Australia?

1. Decide On The Type Of Music To Be Played

Every bride and groom are different. Some couples may enjoy pop music. Others may be lovers of jazz. Still others may go for country. Before you can choose the wedding singers and bands, you’ll need to decide what type of music you want for your wedding. After you’ve chosen the type, you can research music based on your preference.

2. Should The Music Be Entirely Your Choice Or Should Relatives Get Involved?

While you’re deciding on music, decide if you want to let significant others get involved. Should the parents be involved in the wedding music decision, or should it fall solely on the bride and groom. Although it’s nice to include others, involving more people in the decision may make deciding on the final music more difficult.

3. Should Hired Musicians Perform All Of The Music Or Should You Use a DJ?

Another decision that has to be made is whether to go with hired musicians or whether to go with a DJ. With a musician, you have a band performing the music. With a DJ, he or she will play a variety of music from a playlist, from singers you are familiar with. In both situations, you will have the option of making requests for your wedding.

4. How Do You Find A Musician or DJ That You Want?

Once you have decided on the type of music you want, it’s time to find people to fulfill your wishes. One of the best places to find Melbourne wedding music is on the Internet. A wedding music suppliers website allows you to get right to the source of what you’re looking for in this type of music. Pay attention to the websites and recommendations for each musician.

5. How Do You Arrange The Music With Your Musician Or DJ?

Any reputable musician or DJ that you hire will work with you to give you the music that you desire. Be sure to choose a professional who you can talk to and who will listen to your wants. However, be open to receive their suggestions. Understand that any tips they may have will likely be useful for your wedding.

How Much Is A DJ Or A Musician Paid?

This will depend on the popularity of the professional and their years of experience. The more popular and in demand a professional is, the more expensive their services will be. Look at your budget and decide how much you can afford to spend.

Making the right choices with wedding music for your Melbourne wedding will make a big difference in the success of your wedding. Take your time and choose carefully.

Wedding Music Playlist: Romantic love music,The Bridal Dance

The first dance as a couple.!!! In the wedding ceremony we swear to love. I believe in the dance we rejoice to our promise in silence sharing the moment with all our friends and family who inadvertently dance by our side . Please  consider including in your wedding music playlist some of the following recommendations.

Bridal Dance. wedding music playlist

There are  three French love songs that still make me cry when I hear them. Performed with Spanish guitar and vocals they can be the special treat of the evening as part of your wedding music playlsy.

Ne me quittes pas, de Jacques Brel.

I have translated some of the lyrics. Love can make you tingle  and these words do

Moi je t’offrirai
I could give you

Des perles de pluie
pearls of the showers

Venues de pays
that have come from lands

Ou il ne pleut pas.
where it doesn’t rain.

Je creuserai la terre
I would dig the earth,

Jusqu’apres ma mort
even after my death,

Pour couvrir ton corps
to cover your body

D’or et de lumiere.
with gold and light.

Je ferai un domaine
I will make a domain

Où l’amour sera roi,
where love will be king,

Où l’amour sera loi,
where love will be law,

Où tu seras reine.
where you will be queen.

Another of my favourite French Love Songs

Non, je ne regrette rien, de Edith Piaf

I quote and translate some of the lyrcis

Balayés les amours
(Swept away my past loves)
Avec leurs trémolos
(With their tremors)

Balayés pour toujours
(Swept away for always)
Je repars à zéro
(I start again from zero)

Non, Rien de rien
(No, nothing of nothing)
Non, Je ne regrette rien
(No, I regret nothing)

The Video

My favourite

Je l’aime à mourir by Francis Cabrel

and some of the lyrics that give me goosebumps

Je l’aime à mourir

I love her to death

Elle a gommé les chiffres

She erased the numbers

Des horloges du quartie
From the area’s clocks

Elle a fait de ma vie
She transformed my life into

Des cocottes en papier
Paper hens

Des éclats de rires
Bursts of laughter

Elle a bâti des ponts

She built bridges

Entre nous et le ciel
Between us and the sky

Et nous les traversons
And we cross them

A chaque fois qu’elle
Everytime she

Ne veut pas dormi
Doesn’t want to sleep

Ne veut pas dormir
Doesn’t want to sleep

Acoustic Ceremony: Choose the right amplification

Choosing the right amplification

Have you ever attended a wedding where the celebrant´s words cannot be heard with clarity and the acoustic music is just a faint whisper in the back ground?

acoustic wedding amplification

Wedding Music should accompany the celebration as a soundtrack colours our favourite movies. Music should surround our guests and reward them with unique emotions than further uplift the wedding spirit.

acoustic wedding

At ceremonies we generally like to have acoustic wedding music performed with  violins, guitar cello, vocals and other similar instrumentation.   As a rule, in relation to sound amplification, I strongly urge to reinforce the natural acoustic sound and spread it towards the guests. Avoid having one focal point where the music screams from. Amplify so the music can surround the audience and create the desired acoustic wedding ceremony As a consequence the musicians will play with an increase in dynamic range further contributing to the overall enjoyment of the wedding ceremony.

The minimum required amplification level will be determined by the type of indoor venue or outdoor setting, the number of guests and common sense based on basic knowledge of how sound travels and interacts with objects  in it´s path.

Church acoustic wedding

Let‘s consider that the celebration will take place in a large church. Have you ever noticed how the spoken word at a relatively short distance sounds muddled?  Modern public address systems solve this problem by slightly amplifying speech and delivering it a low volume to different areas of the church through an array of speakers.

Our contracted live wedding music should also take advantage of this  pre installed amplification. However the acoustic instruments must be miked with minimum miking and the mixed signal fed to the in house amplification. This solution requires testing to assure impedance and signal levels match between equipment to avoid unnecessary humming, feedback and noises.

acoustic wedding mikingStereo  Microphone Technique. All you will need for a small ensemble in a acoustic Wedding ceremony.

Now let’s consider the celebration is outdoors, with no walls, no reflecting surfaces and with possible wind.

Low frequencies carry through the air in large waves and can be heard very easily. What tends to be muffled, not allowing  us to hear the celebrant and or enjoy the music is the masking of the high frequencies by objects and wind.

Spreading out the speakers and placing the high frequency generators at the ear level of the tallest attendant will generally deliver the needed clarity. Time delay and phase cancellation consequences of speaker placement should also be addressed.

Songful, our acoustic wedding duo visits the proposed venues, studies the acoustics and proposes the best sound solution at minimum cost. We assure our sound will carry all over the venue with clarity at all stages of the ceremony. Our quote includes PA system for indoor and outdoor venues for up to 100 guests. Our music will be the desired soundtrack of your special day.
